Central Florida

Some say that Central Florida has some of the best weather. Winters are dry with mild temperatures. Summers offer plenty of sun for Beach fun.

Central Florida is known for its hard-packed beautiful sandy beaches. Our area is one of the few places where you can drive on the beach for miles. Many of the first auto races were run on the beaches of Daytona and Ormond Beach. The Daytona International Speedway got its start here on those beaches.

Central Florida is home to NASA and the Space Center. With just a short drive to the Space Center, you can witness some of the most spectacular launches including launches by SpaceX. You can even see the rocket boosters return and feel the sensation of the sonic booms. The proud history of our Space Program offers a wonderful experience for both young and old.

Agriculture occupies a large portion of Central Florida economy. You can enjoy the yearly strawberry festival in Plant City or purchase a case of fresh oranges from one of the many orange groves in Central Florida. You can try the Central Florida Farmers’ tours, a great way to see and learn about our local agricultural industry.

Central Florida is home to many Medical Institutes with places like the Medical City, University of Central Florida Medical School, the Sanford- Burnham Medical Institute, Biomedical Research facility and the new Veteran Administration Hospital.
